Board of Directors
President Amy Tipton
Amy Tipton is the founder and director of the nonprofit. She started the Belltown Art Walk when she had her local fashion design boutique Sassafras in Belltown.
Amy has been producing art programming since 2013 and strongly believes that artists, especially from underserved communities, need safe and supportive spaces to show their talents. She also strongly believes that community encourages the development of these opportunities.
Amy started our headquarters, Slip Gallery, in late 2021 and is providing the type of space and encouraging the type of community that supports local artists.
Secretary Alexandra Nason
I moved to Seattle for a role in commercial art consulting at Grand Image, where I ideated and project-managed large-scale custom art projects for clients including corporate offices, multifamily residential buildings, restaurants, hotels and healthcare facilities. In 2021, I joined the team at Urban ArtWorks, a Seattle-based nonprofit whose mission is to engage youth, artists, and communities in the creation of public artwork that inspires connections and honors their voices. I currently serve as the Project Director, overseeing commission murals and other public artworks, with community-building and volunteer engagement, as well as RFQ and RFP processes.
